Until I started this site I thought the mods there had something against me as I kept getting banned and warned for such daft little things, but I know realise it has been happening to a lot of people. Daniel seems to have a habit of appointing as moderators those who shout the loudest, presumably to get them off his back. These modertors then run around the forum, crazed with power, issuing sanctions against members not because those members have breached any forum rules, but because the moderator disagrees with the member and uses their new-found power to silence them. Pretty much spot on. If you do a bit of digging, and go through their fb pages etc, you get a pretty clear picture of who they "really" are.

The idiot who has just resigned was bad enough, but the latest three just take the biscuit. Still, it's up to Daniel, it's his trainset.
A well worn path to management trod by some unionist who could be bought.

I suppose it's all part of the learning process though. I'm think Daniel s an Ok kind of guy. The thing is, it's easier to shut someone down or remove a topic area than defend your views.

You know reading through all of the posts here where we have posted freely and without interference you have to wonder what their issue is? I know one or two who post here have more experience with the personalities and motives involved than I do but as I say what is the problem? Madness to stymie discussion and debate, just as it would be madness not to expand Thunderboat into other areas given a little more time and the necessary demand. You make a good point. Other than a few people typing fuck, some seemingly just to get it out of their system, there haven't been any slugfests here that I've seen. It's a pity, but, when a website becomes all about the moderators that's usually its death knell. The fact of the matter is, not too many people want some ignorant twat telling them what they can and cannot say.

Might be the time of year, but in the last week or so CWDF has fallen behind CanalPlan AC on the UK Waterways Ranking Site, and traffic is down by around 10%. www.ukwrs.co.uk/index.php?id=162

I spent many an hour doing that Jenlyn. It was easy to spot who they are on different forums .Quite entertaining

I wonder why mjg resigned from here, did he try being bad and his own swearing at the fox shocked him do you think? (Im on limited phone internet at the moment so need to keep signing off damn it) I didn't realise he had left? Shame if he has, I found it quite funny when he told foxy to f off lol. I doubt if that would be why he left, he can usually hold his own, and I admit to preferring reading his posts here rather than elsewhere.

Not quite sure why he felt the need to delete his account, there are plenty of forums I have used over the years and then stopped using, for example I was a member of the Ford Sierra forum for the five years I owned one between 2000 and 2005, when I sold it and bought a Rover Sterling I posted a message thanking everybody for their help and saying farewell and I've never posted there since. I was then a member of the Rover 800 forum for eight years until I sold that, and again I posted a farewell message. However, I didn't request that my accounts on these forums be deleted, and I can't imagine why I would do. Presumably mjg thought he would be making some type of statement. With all due respect, he does come across as a bit "thick".

So, why isn't Thunderboat listed on that sight? Even more curiously, why isn't Narrowboat World listed?

Another reason why I suggested that the waterways part of the forum should be shifted up towards the top of the page.
