"We are announcing the start of the first phase of an independent consultation about how boats are licensed on our waterways. The current licensing system has remained largely unchanged for more than two decades and is often cited by boat owners as being complex and out of date." The FOI below shows that there are no formal complaints to the Trust from anyone about the licencing system. www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/plans_to_review_boat_licencing#incoming-960250

"Andy Glyde - Governance, Assurance & Risk Manager, Canal & River Trust, Fearns Wharf, Neptune Street, Leeds"
Andy, can you get yourself down to the Sanitary Station in Leeds, it can't be more than a few minutes' walk. The Elsan disposal hole is blocked. I assess a health risk. Looks like this one's right up your corner!

I have been in CRT 'service stations' and they are all disgusting. Like the showers in a British camping site.

In fairness, C&RT didn't say they'd received formal complaints.
I'm sure they have their own agenda, but I don't see any 'lies', sorry.

That may be so.
Mind you, you said Yorkshire was depressing.
I'm surprised you've not been struck by lightening yet.

You must have been to Rotherham.
The rest of it is great. Some of it is excellent.
Most of it is heaven.

The only problem I've found with Yorkshire is that you never get a full pint.

You've got to have a good 'head'.
Went into the Black Horse at Gt Linford yesterday. They had Timothy Taylor's Landlord on at FIVE POUNDS PER PINT!
They had Doom Bar at £3.80 too, which was good.
At £5 a pint, no wonder southerners want a full glass.

I'm not a southerner, but at £5 a pint I wouldn't have been having any.
