You must have been to Rotherham. The rest of it is great. Some of it is excellent. Most of it is heaven. Rog What is it about Rotherham that boaters have a problem with the place? From the missus's log : "10/07/14 Moored just above the locks by the magistrates court. CRT guy who mans the lock flight advised us not to stop here but we're going to stay overnight & see what it's like! " We eventually spent four nights moored there and were made to feel welcome by the townsfolk. Good pub in the town and we even went to a gay pride day out in the park. All in all we had a really nice time there. So, what's the problem with the place?

That may be so. Mind you, you said Yorkshire was depressing. I'm surprised you've not been struck by lightening yet. Rog 😂😂😂 can't help it that I find Yorkshire depressing. It's just my own view, not an offensive one, just my simplest expression for it. I was in Wakefield recently. The first thing I saw was a 60 year old in his underpants doing a 1/2 mile wheelie up the high street on a trials bike. Lively yes, but depressing? Nobody batted an eyelid. That's what's good about Yorkshire.

Clarkson is from Tickhill, that's posh.
Rotherham is a wonderful place to come from.
It's going back that causes the problems.
Mind you, the beer's cheap and plentiful.

You've got to have a good 'head'.Went into the Black Horse at Gt Linford yesterday. They had Timothy Taylor's Landlord on at FIVE POUNDS PER PINT! They had Doom Bar at £3.80 too, which was good. At £5 a pint, no wonder southerners want a full glass. Rog I read that as GIVE good head... I mean, I'm all for doing my bit but for £3.80 a pint I draw the line!

How you fix the problems I dont know but the place is turning into a pig sty to say the least
