He hasn't improved any in the time since he was appointed as unindependant Waterways Odbumsman by a nasty little cabal within C&RT. Nose still rammed firmly up their very uncharitable backsides, and accepting without question all the lies and bullshit they feed him for inclusion in his so-called 'findings'.
After he found against my formal complaint about C&RT applying CC'ing rules to someone with a (home) mooring in early 2014, I obtained copies of internal E-mails exchanged between him, the knuckledraggers at C&RT's Enforcement and their 'in house' Solicitors in which he was seeking their approval for the wording and content in his draft 'Final Report'. They probably think that particular chapter is over and done with, and the matter closed, . . . . . . it isn't, not by any means !

A lot of weasel words in that report..
Why the hell is an independent ombudsman seeking approval for it's reports.
He should write in what he finds.
Take to the cleaners tony

Forewarned is forearmed. Ah, here he is: www.waterways-ombudsman.org/about-us/the-ombudsman/ Andrew Walker, Nuclear Physicist.

is this thread no more than another chance for whingers to moan?
I love the opinion of the continuous moorer who interpreted the meaning of 'range' as the total distance travelled, not the extent of the waterway he travelled on. People like that should be sentenced to 6 months compulsory evening classes in the 'Use of English'.

Insanity is sometimes considered to be identifiable as when the exact same thing happens repeatedly but a different outcome is expected. When did mr Fox ever make a valid and rational point?

Your making the mistake of believing he has the ability to "think" kris. I'm not sure bodger has that capability 😂😂. Discussion is not one of his strong points.

I ploughed through them it was hard work some good outcomes and some bad. It just goes to show if you are going to do battle with them its all about evidence that they cant refute! I am awaiting a reply I sent to CRT from a week or so ago nothing yet so will email her again next week and so on

The solitary positive thing to come out of Walker's appointment as brown-noser in chief to C&RT was the fact that he was no longer being let loose to piss about with nuclear reactors and suchlike. How in God's name did the UK escape it's own version of Three Mile Island or Chernobyl with a cunt like this working in the nuclear industry ? Not only is he a complete and utter dickhead, but he even looks like one, . . . . . I also have it on good authority that he played Dobbie the house elf in the Harry Potter films !

Overall, my view is, some of the shit in the report, is simply shit. I'd be embarrassed making some of the complaints. However, some of the complaints are valid, and in my own personal view, are beyond the ombudsman remit. They should be addressed by an independent authority. It looks as though the ombudsman has become the last resort for some customers, and given he is instructed, and employed by CRT, it has a distinct smell of rot.
It's not a "just" system.

I think you are right Steve independent is what is needed but who pays? or is it a bit of the license fee that is used?
