nah! proper jobs, rendered pig tallow and trampled on by bees et cetera Its all about creating a sensual atmosphere and you fail every time. I have a smoking jacket with monogrammed slippers, what am I to do now ?
A bucket of water on the smoking jacket?
Are the slippers inscribed "L" and "R"?
Way to go with that sensual atmosphere - even pig trottered candles and bee smeared tallow might be more beneficial - but who am I to say, posting such advice on a Saturday night?!?!

Naughtyfox, why didn't you just rent Hebden Dry Dock for a week? Intertuf from Nigel at the yard, cheap angle grinder from Aldi, wire cup brush from the engineers supplies on the road to Hafilax, power from Bronte Boats, get them to weld new anodes on. Job done. Did mine in there last summer, got a survey and did some welding to a bit that needed overplating.
I also blacked underneath, anyone else bother with that? My reasoning is that my boat is often sitting on a dry bottom, when the level in the pound drops, a regular occurrence because its a tiny pound with a leaky gate/cill into the pound below.

Yes, will always black the baseplate, goes back to my days of antifouling, even though people say whats the point if its sitting on blocks you cant paint it all, yes, but in a couple of years time it wont be sitting in the same position on the blocks so the missed bits will get done eventually.

Thanks Pete - I like your banana! Gotta dash now - another working week ahead - gotta keep earning the mooring fees! - and I promised the 20 kids that go to Tokola on my bus that I'd get them ice-creams from the kiosk in the market this week - looks like they're taking me for a ride, rather than the other way round, heh!
