I believe that there could be a very high turn out tomorrow.
Whilst the standard of political debate has remained poor as usual, I form the impression that young people have been prompted to get involved on the back of what they see as the poor result from the EU referendum.
I would not be at all surprised to see over 70% turn out this time, which would be high based on recent polls.
I wondered if others had drawn similar impressions.
So my guess is for 75% turn out nationally.

May 70 seat plus Majority From talking to my own children (both 18 and voting for the first time) it seems that there is going to be a huge turnout among their peer group (who are traditionally apathetic towards voting) and that the vast majority are voting Labour. I think it will be very close.

I think it will be very close. Since Labour's manifesto came out and offered up a real alternative to the Tories, I've changed my mind about a low turnout. My prediction is that we will probably end up with a hung parliament now. The Tories have lost touch with young people and the elderly. Labour are making all the right noises (except the cock up with Abbot) . I'm left still believing that the whole political system in this country needs a major revamp. It's too open to corruption and bias using financial backing. Then again I suppose it always will even if we just voted in independents.

May 70 seat plus Majority Not in a million years. May has cocked up big style, not only in calling an election she didn't need but in giving Corbyn the time to endear himself to the BBC, have you seen how he and her were respectively portrayed tonight?

I wonder if she called the election off the back of the Brexit vote. Maybe the Tories thought that the majority voted for Brexit due to support of the right wing views of UKIP. So surely the majority would support the right wing stance in the general election. Unfortunately for May, there is a world of difference between wanting this country to have more independence from Europe and dealing with a run down education and social care system.

I voted for UKIP in 2015 and I (postal) voted Labour in this election.

Or have I got this wrong? Actually, a lot of the weath has been made by getting those in places like China, India, Thailand etc to do our dirty work for many years. They won't be controlled like that much longer, so unless we all pull our finger out and make this country self sufficient, we are all buggered.

It scares me what today will bring... in as far as having been massively personally in debt and taken a ruddly long time to climb back out and re-establish myself; for the country to do the same would make a mockery of my efforts. Selfish perhaps but idealism doesn't work.
tbh, I'd like to be able to vote for the beardy chap as he comes across as that "nice uncle" we'd all like in charge. Alas, I don't think he's capable of delivering... so I postal voted tory - as did my other half... voluntarily on this occasion which was a first.
Back to the op though, I DO think turn out will be late 70's (percentage not age) so "Uncle Beardy" may too quite well as a result.
ANYWAY - I can't stay here prophesying all day... I 've waterproofs to put and a whole load of swing bridges to open in the wind!
Tally ho.

Jane has a facebook account, and it appears to have been bombarded with pro Corbyn and anti May posts for weeks, clearly targetting the young who 'like' them and consequently they spread.
Apart from the fact that they seem to believe we live in a republic and are electing a president, and will get the opportunity to vote for Corbyn, they are based at a very rudimentary level not promoting any real point other than popularity.
Based on our family and Jane's fb friends, I believe there will be a high turn out, and wouldn't be at all surprised to see Labour win a slim majority.
As the much quoted Chinese curse goes "May you live in interesting times"
