The big question for the young new voters is.........will they be able to get past the fact that today they wont be able to press 'like' and 'share'
They will actually have to put their phones down and find their way to the polling stations and not being distracted by a Pokemon sitting on a bench on their way there

I walked up to where it always is in a local community centre/hall only to see they had moved it to the rear of the building and stuck it in a tiny brick shed behind where it normally is with a series of printed arrows routing you from the door you would normally enter to around the outside the building and stuck on the brickwork. They were not laminated so I don't know if they have survived todays rain or not!

The trouble with young voters is that they have a wide eyed, innocent view of the world. They believe the guff they are fed and think that everything can be rosy, if only people vote the correct way. They have yet to develop the cynical view of politics and politicians, which after years of being lied to, us oldies have in spades.

There's a polling a station beside where my boat is now. I was a bit worried as there is a police officer outside. I hope everything is ok. I can't vote as I am not registered to vote in this election.

I told her no, I didn't and walked past her. Didn't seem to be part of any official organisation.

They are tellers working for a party. The list of polling numbers is taken back to local HQ where they have a list oof all the people who said they would vote for that party. they then get crossed off the list. that way each party will know who hasnt voted and will go knock on their door to remind them or even in some cases ask them if they need transport.

I havent met anyone that has changed their mind Sam Jaynes son is voting Tory as he cant see where the money is going to come from and he doesnt want to fund every waster in the worlds uni!! anyway by this time tomorrow we will know I think the idea is that the money will come from those who got stinking rich off the backs of hard working people. Or have I got this wrong? Actually, a lot of the weath has been made by getting those in places like China, India, Thailand etc to do our dirty work for many years. They won't be controlled like that much longer, so unless we all pull our finger out and make this country self sufficient, we are all buggered. Or did they get rich by working hard and taking risks creating work for other people and generally having a go for it attitude. As for Brexit its a chance for this country to make things again and we all know we can make things better than anybody else or we used to be able to.................

You certainly haven't met my kids or their friends. The reason they don't vote is that due to the clarity of their young minds they can see how it's stacked, like being asked to vote on the nations favourite food when the only options are KFC or burgers. I believe rather more turned out for Brexit where they could see that their vote would count. Don't shoot the youth, they are born with sense (Tapper Zukie).
