I think it was something like only 35 per cent of the 18-24 year olds registered to vote turned out, and out of them around 70 percent voted remain

The trouble with young voters is that they have a wide eyed, innocent view of the world. They believe the guff they are fed and think that everything can be rosy, if only people vote the correct way. They have yet to develop the cynical view of politics and politicians, which after years of being lied to, us oldies have in spades. You don't get out much? You certainly haven't met my kids or their friends. The reason they don't vote is that due to the clarity of their young minds they can see how it's stacked, like being asked to vote on the nations favourite food when the only options are KFC or burgers. I believe rather more turned out for Brexit where they could see that their vote would count. Don't shoot the youth, they are born with sense (Tapper Zukie). I suspect your kids are in the minority ..... possibly because of having a vocal, cynical old bugger as a parent ?

I hope I taught them to question things, in particular when listening to a politician to ask themselves why the lying load was telling that particular lie. But seriously the youth are another convenient target group for blame attachment. On the whole they seem more intelligent and better educated than my generation. The internet has greatly enlarged their sources of information where we only had the establishment reported on tv and newspapers and Private Eye once a month and they never had a huge circulation.

I'm going 71% turnout.
I won't be voting for jezza. As much as some of his stuff is good, I do not believe this country can afford it. If they get in power they can safely not do any of it as they did not know what the finances were like.
And that leaves all the bad stuff.
+1 for May.

What's that 50 year rule? Oh yes, so by the time we find out what they really thought, they, and anyone else who would have objected is dead or senile.

I think the idea is that the money will come from those who got stinking rich off the backs of hard working people. Or have I got this wrong? Actually, a lot of the weath has been made by getting those in places like China, India, Thailand etc to do our dirty work for many years. They won't be controlled like that much longer, so unless we all pull our finger out and make this country self sufficient, we are all buggered. Or did they get rich by working hard and taking risks creating work for other people and generally having a go for it attitude. As for Brexit its a chance for this country to make things again and we all know we can make things better than anybody else or we used to be able to................. I agree with you on the Brexit point. As regards the rich, I have no problem with some having a bit more money than others who also put hard graft in. However there is no way that any human being on this planet should be 'worth' 10 million times more than another. If you took the weath of the top 50 in this country you could run the NHS for nearly 2 years. That's far more obscene than Corbyn trying to talk peace with the IRA. I'm not going to post that link from the Times a third time. It might not be very agreeable to your fixed views.

There's a polling a station beside where my boat is now. I was a bit worried as there is a police officer outside. I hope everything is ok. I can't vote as I am not registered to vote in this election. Have u got a moorhen/coot whatever nesting in an old tyre by your boat?.... Yes - there is a coot nest in an old tyre beside one of my boats. That boat is currently on a mooring and not moving about. The boat with the polling station beside it is another boat which does move about and does not have a coot nest attached to it

So, anyway....
thus far people have guessed as follows
Snotgobler 68% Sarhello 56% Bettina 73% Thebfg 71% Dogless 75%
Quaysider suggests Late 70% which is a bit of a cheat as it gives him at least four chances to claim he is correct
To be honest, any turn out above 50% by modern standards is high.
