🤗🤗🤗😀 Got a letter "from Head of Waterside Moorings" telling me my mooring fee for eog mooring was to go up by 28%. The previous reference mooring was closed and the new comparison would be Hebden Bridge. It took 3 letters appealing before I got a response, the first 2 to Head of Waterside Moorings, were ignored. I pointed out that there was still a boat on the "closed mooring", they agreed and have sent me the refund, £70…!

Springs to mind: 1. Who is the Head of Waterside Moorings and why did they not reply? You should demand an answer. 2. Why is there a boat on the closed mooring? Is this against what the Head of Moorings wants and if so why has (s)he done nothing about shooing them away? Name that boat!!

Good for you, and good for C&RT too, even if it was at the third attempt.

All good Jim but it must be the water because I had exactly the same and so did Richard when he was in contact with them

Good for you, and good for C&RT too, even if it was at the third attempt. Rog I may be wrong....I quite often are but I was advised by a friend that the meaning in auction of going going gone...stems from some ancient law whereby if someone did not respond after being requested twice then by the third time it was actuality....I tested this theory out with a dispute with solicitors who declined to answer 2 emails which were also sent via post raising an issue so I wrote a third and told them this was my third email on the issue and I got a response within seconds....acknowledging the second communication...so I responded pointing out they had 3 letters not 2...but they continually refused to acknowledge I got the 3 in before they responded....anyway the matter panned out OK cos when I get wound up I kinda don't give up especially if I see right to be on my side.

I did finish the third letter by suggesting my next course of action would be to contact Big Dick Parry. I had also been on the phone to Debbie Figgy, (hi Debs when you read this, xxx), about her excessive unwarranted concerns re my staying in a general area too long. She's in Moorings , I thought, so I raised the issue, nicely, about the lack of response to my letters. She did offer to bang off an email to the other department. I don't think they paid her any attention.
