One of the reasons I wanted to sort the radio out on the boat was so I could play music more. I'm really not bothered about TV much these days although the BBC gets to me via the inter web. I suppose I should try to wean mysel off this really and do a flounce, however I do enjoy hearing everyone's views and having mine tested. Has anyone actually reached a point that they can sit, say beside the canal, and be happy just watching the world go by for a few hours? I'm getting there but it's taken over 50 years so far.

I think comes with age...I no longer have those 'pop up' thoughts that used to distract my mind...I can sit in peace and quiet and really enjoy the moment...there has to be a stream/canal/river and preferably some woodland and no people..I don't get bored, simple stuff amuses..making little reed boats, watching bees and butterflies and if the lovely though that I don't have to be anywhere anytime covers the here and now then I will happily sit.

Only on a balmy summer's evening with a full bottle of chilled rose' I'm more than happy just to kick back with some pleasant vino or some decent ale and just watch the world go by, in fact I've got down to a fine art.
