A brief list of the COVID-19 enforced works programme. On the home front. Front and rear doors gloss painted. Shed, fence and swing/slide combo stained. Window ledges painted. Garden wall sealed with Thompson water seal. Garden path and hopscotch course laid. Lamp installed in loft. Replace shower mixer cartridge. Additional lighting installed in garage. Major tidy of shed and garage. Hang various frames that have been on the to do list for some time π³ Cars washed and polished (twice each so far, a very rare occurrence in recent years!) Service + replace tyres on Lucy's new stead. Major rebuild of my bicycle - I'm quite pleased I did this rather than replacing it, rides superb now π Service Mrs Gazza bicycle. Looking at that lot it's no wonder Mrs Gazza accused me of finding new ways of avoiding her without leaving the house! Usually the boats are the cause of thatπ Speaking of which, a small amount of work has been able to continue on that front. I'd gota bit of a backlog waiting for my attention, no excuses for not getting the prep work done.... mouse now has a pile of bits ready to replace Vanguard's seacocks, the originals are pulled up directly onto the glass fibre. I don't install them like that, it's much better to clamp a piece of resin sealed ply between the skin fitting locking nut and the glass fibre. Three of these done and dusted; waiting to get the nod onwhe we can start pulling boats out again π€¦ββοΈ I've put together a load of stuff to get the freshwater system on Northern Star updated - hot and cold running water for the first time ever! I've also managed to get cracking on rebuilding an old Renold UU11 gearbox fitted to an ancient old pedalo boat - I'll get some photos together of that next week π Poor old Fairlight hasn't had a look in - nothing needed or could be done in the workshop, looking at her on Thursday I'm going to have to replace some of the hardwood rubbing strakes very soon, but other than changing the freshwater filter I am doing sod all bar for going boating when restrictions are lifted! ππ»

A most impressive list completed...
Garden wall sealed with Thompson water seal.
Is that just for outside Gazza? or can it be used to stop damp coming through inside wall/floor.. Plus can it be painted on the outside of render to protect?...

Do you know about stain block paint, to treat a dried out damp area, stops the stain surfacing again.

I am looking forward to seeing the scum bling. Not sure of you mentioned it before Andyberg but do we know what this little forecabin is going to be used for? Generator? Hedge / Stella storage?

I am looking forward to seeing the scum bling. I sense a slight pisstake here? π’πππ Not sure of you mentioned it before Andyberg but do we know what this little forecabin is going to be used for? Generator? Hedge / Stella storage? Basically, its been built so I can keep all my tools together in one place, they are currently kept in my van, shed, 4x4, under boat floor (mostly storage due to 20mm baseplate so minimal ballast) or in my office at work, which really makes things a pain in the ass remembering where stuff is!ππ Got bits of electrical / engine service / fab work lined up on the back of it via folks looking whats going on as they walk past and asking if I do any work on boats, when they see my engine room / Electric panel they seem quite Happy for a quote! π This time next year Rodney , weβre going to be millionaires! π
