Crikey, our props 21ins.
Forgive my ignorance but I thought on a sea going boat the prop would be massive.
They are beautiful when they're all shiney like that aren't they.

Lovely pics John.
No wonder you had a fight on your hands getting it to bits. A picture tells a thousand words and all that.
The new stern gear looks perfic, beats putting old worn kit back into service 👍🚢⚓🍻

Sounds awesome, is there a recipe available for them? My daughter loves making brownies (the recipe for which dogless has now 👍) Gazza this is soooooooooooo easy it isn't funny. The receipe is: 2 eggs 5 tablespoons of all purpose flour 1/2 jar Nutella + and 1 extra tablespoon I added some crushed walnuts Mix it all together until well blended Now instead of pouring the mixture into a square baking pan, I used 12 silicone cup cake / muffin thingy's I put a heaping teaspoon of the mixture in the bottom of each muffin holder, then a 1/4 teaspoon of smooth peanut butter and then topped each one with the remaining mixture (about another teaspoon in each one) added some sprinkles on top Rather than being gooey they are more cake like, but at 12 minutes they are still quite moist in the centre Enjoy!! gas mark 4 for 12 - 15 minutes I'm going to try adding Nutella to Bananna Bread tomorrow - I'll let you know how it turns out....can you tell I've just discovered Nutella? I love it! Big thumbs up to Bettina 👍🍻 We have run out of sprinkles For The BFG and probably Rog 5 tablespoons of all purpose flour = 40g of plain flour. We used just over 200g of nutella. Gas 4 is 160°c in a fan oven, 180°c in a conventional oven. The first effort yielded these little beauties 😎 As we are sorting out provisions for our upcoming voyage we made our standard banana, cranberry and chocolate flapjacks after the roaring success that was Bettina's recipe. Fresh from the oven! I will post the recipe for that latter on.

Well another truck gone. Current plan is another truck load in a week or two followed by a final truck load just before I move out. A couple of trips to the dump will be necessary as well, horse box borrowed so just hoping I can sneak it past security...!

well done ....... It's odd, quite hard to decide what has to go and harder still to actually get rid of it.
Afterwards, strangely, it seems to be a relief to have a relatively uncluttered life.
All the very best for your new lifestyle

Is that really the old propellor on John's boat? Polished up a bit? Blimey. I don't know why I took photos of it as it was. But I did. That was 2 and a half weeks ago.

Busy afternoon after work. Shot down to the boat to get the last few jobs done before the off. As we have only been away for two weekends both of which were warm the heaters hadn't been used at all, we have been on shore power for hot water or its been plenty warm enough for day trips not to worry about engine preheating. As such I decided to go through them before we went away. Clean fuel filter and bleed fuel pump for the Wallas blown air heater. Check Webasto thermo top operation, it needed the coolant bleeding as I hadn't used it since April, now on a pressurised system rather than vented and works exceedingly well. Hot water and engine on demand once more. Quick grease of all my nipples 👍 Replace 10" water filter, we've an old 250l galvy water tank that is getting towards end of life, on CWDF I had some shit off the I've always drunk rusty water and it's never harmed me brigade. These go in brilliant white and comes out like this! You can see the inside that lets the clean water through in this photo. Good to 5 microns 👍 I also cleaned the 3 strainers before and after the pump. The dwarf still gets bottled water, but Mrs Gazza and I are happier to cook, make a brew and brush our teeth with clear water rather than orange water! I have a feeling the tank will want doing next year. Raw water strainer cleaned. Extraneous kit that will be needed for winter fettling consigned to the garage. Beds made ready for a late night tomorrow, still plenty to do at home before we go chugging 🚢🍻⚓
