I don't know if any of you remember the previous thread I started some montha ago in the now defunct Current Affairs? Some of you were promising me a drink if Leicester were still top after Christmas? you know who you are,a Scotsman never forgets his first drink bought by an Englishman.Well the boys are still there defeating Southampton at the weekend, the march to the title continues. What a great thing this will be for the people of Leicester and indeed the whole East Midlands, money isn't everything after all and once again NO ENGLISHMAN will have managed a title winning side in the Premiership. Why is that? is it simply a trend to employ foreign managers? Is England no longer producing the talent? is it down to foreign ownership of the big clubs? does it even matter? Come on Leicester! Almost there!

I hope they do it but whatever happens think there pretty safe with the European cup next season. Shame a lot of the bets that went on them have since been cashed in but being working class blokes don't think they could turn it down. Still a nice return on a fiver/tenner though

Still think they will do it cds. The Vardy dismissal was a bloody travesty, can't believe there not appealing it. European club football assured though, think I would take that esp with the chance to see some really great players next season

There was a rather strange feature on Leicester City in the Guardian at the weekend. Whilst acknowledging the romance and popularity of Leicester's performance this season the article talked about when the club went bust in order to write off £50m debts, how they still owe St John's Ambulance £X,000s and how Jamie Vardy is a racist! (apparently he was caught on camera calling someone a chink)..
I would like to see them clinch the title, for Ranieri's sake as much as anything, but Spurs is my 2nd team and I'd be pleased to see them do it as well. We will see now if Leicester can keep the momentum up to get over the line, or if the wheels will come right off.
My first team? Manchester United, man and boy. Over the last couple of seasons I have discovered that being a supporter isn't a choice, it's more of an affliction.

What a result against Liverpool you boys had me and my mate were in the pub, it was full of Liverpool fans, they were giving it large, when we scored the winner we were dancing on the tables, their faces. A great day, sunday was a great result too. But credit needs to go to Leicester, at away games their fans are going to be a nightmare next season. we will never hear the end of it.
