Tired old racist, disappointed he can't link riots in France to Cotwoldman helping refugees goes to bed hot it wilt that I'm behind an account that parodies him......you'll be disappointed I'm afraid. Awfully boring old chap when you play the race card all the time. Quite sad really, You seem stuck in some kind of 1980's student union.

Not so much provocative as "look, I'm right" and then a pop at a poster he's had words with who doesn't even post here. That he then turns out to be wrong - what's going on in France is naked class war and nothing to do with migrants - and now he's all butt hurt because it turns out he's just a sad old racist. Now he's gone to bed. The funniest thing about him is he thought the mods on CWF protected his detractors, they didn't. They protected him. I did love the way he said it was his bedtime. That comment could could come back to haunt him ha ha ha Well lets face it he's made a complete balls of this thread so he probably needs a lie down, Not only was it started by him and was wrongly based on his claim there has been no news coverage in the UK about the aggro. in France, followed by a totally irrelevant reference to Cotswoldsman and then to cap it all he claimed he didn't know what the reference to CWM was. Hopefully he will do better after a nice boboes......

I know, it's mad as fuck isn't it that race gets a mention about an issue that's nothing to do with race or immigration. Almost as though the twat's obsessed or something. Does it bore you? Oh dear, how sad, never mind.

John (Cotswoldman) replied in a very Oscar Wilde fashion about being talked about here: "At least I am not forgotten then!!"
I hope he registers and pops in now and then. He's working with the refugees in Greece right now and it would be interesting to hear what is happening on that front.

I accept of course there was some coverage, but I did share his opinion it was pretty sparse, especially the use of tear gas on migrants rioting.I admire Cotswoldsman and his altruism but many would question that also.By saying this can I make it clear that I don't seek to make any rascist agenda whatsoever but to merely point out the Foodbanks and Homeless within our own shores .

The incidents he referred to in his original post in this thread and which he said had not been covered in the UK are unrelated to the sparse coverage of the police activity in Calais and the use of tear gas in the jungle, so I have no idea why you have made a connection too. Contrary to what seems to be some sort of 'group think' on here the French have other things that piss them off too, perhaps if people did a little research?

What's happening in France right now is over 200k+ transport workers are kicking off big time about the government imposing an EU based scheme to limit the number of hours a person works before overtime rates are applicable. Although the core of the dispute and associated action started with transport workers over 500k have struck off in a series of strikes and the situation is not calming down, it's escalating. It has nothing whatever to do with migrants. There is though an almost complete media disinterest in dispute here. The BBC link posted by MJG makes it out as some kind of one off event by anti police protesters in Paris when in reality there's been sustained action across the country since the end of April.

I have about 20 cousins in France we know from chatting to them that the country is deeply unhappy, they are all my age so I wonder if retirement ages are going to change for them as well? next time we talk by email I will ask

Point taken Martin,I realised his post wasn't about Calais, I was attempting to draw debate into a wider sphere, regarding the sparse media coverage in General when it relates to negative portrayals of Europe prior to the Brexit Vote.I failed miserably.

Well I would say no, some outlets have picked it up. www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/ap/article-3601170/Gas-stations-closed-north-western-France-amid-strike.htmlThat is has anything to do with Cotswoldsman? Hardly.

I have seen it on the net but not the news ie TV I think that is the point trying to be made It does come down to looking into real eyes and working out who you can trust at the end of the day. Social media is closer to us than the BBC but it's still not the best way to find the truth.

I have seen it on the net but not the news ie TV I think that is the point trying to be made Bullshit. If that was correct then why say... This video of the Paris riot was posted on YouTube 6 hours ago. There seems to be a total media blackout in the UK about it.
I have provided two links to UK media outlets including the BBC, so it is patently incorrect no matter how you dress it up. (Then the rather pathetic linking it to CWM's work in Calais was the icing on the cake of course.)
