I thought from the title that Martin was having second thoughts about returning to Yorkshire and having to pop round to visit John & Sabina. Only 2 weeks to go! WeΔΊl the good news is we look like being here for a fair bit longer, as we have bumped into some very old friends who due to ill health/infirmity are struggling a bit with their caravanning so we have agreed to stick with them after we leave France and help them by piggy backing their trip to northern Spain. Ive had to forfeit my return trip on Eurotunnel as it wasnt a flexible booking. Unfortunately it means my daughter will need to sort cover for caring for our Grandaughter. I'll need to sort meds. As I only brought enough for our planned trip rather than a much extended one. I'm not sure travelling with someone in Europe who has so many health problems is a really good idea but they were both a good source of help to us many years ago so its good to be able to repay them.

There is a strong possibility that I might be overwintering in the North. Don't worry, I intend to give you every opportunity to achieve your expressed desire to tell me what you think of me, face to face

There is a strong possibility that I might be overwintering in the North. LONGSHANKS What news of the north? EDWARD Nothing new, Majesty. We have sent riders to speed any word. LONGSHANKS While I am in France fighting to expand your future kingdom I learn that Stirling castle is lost, our entire northern army wiped out! And you have done nothing?! EDWARD I have ordered conscriptions... A messenger enters and hands the prince a message. Edward reads it and nearly loses his balance. EDWARD Wallace has sacked York! LONGSHANKS Impossible. (to messenger) How dare you bring a panicky lie. The messenger has also brought a basket. He approaches the central table with great dread and places the basket on it, uncovering its contents. Prince Edward is closest; he looks in, then staggers back, stunned. Longshanks moves to the sack coldly, looks in, and withdraws the severed head of his nephew, York's (former) Governor.

I should perhaps mention that the phone signal on the site we have moved to is somewhat erratic and comes and goes. The WiFi is crap too. So I may have problems over the next couple of weeks indulging myself in the jolly raconteur that is the trademark of the 'boat of thunder".
I realise this will be a huge body blow to many on here but I'm sure you little lab rats will cope in my enforced absence. Struggling to post on here and faceache so its just not worth the chew TBH.
See you perhaps when we get to Spain in three weeks.

Spending a little less on cheap plonk and diverting the funds to buying a local 'service provider' sim would end all your erratic problems. ( in both your data delivery and your posting reply standards!) π

I think talk of heads in baskets has made his cellphone battery run down whilst on a plane entering a tunnel.

Hardly an account of the sites funds just a statement by Nigel (BEnigo) that: "At present the forum has a positive bank balance, projected to be sufficient to cover at least the next 6 months expenditure, longer if the recent increase in income continues. At this time we do not see that we need to make any changes or appeal for funds in the near future, however if there are member who would like to make a donation a link is provided below or the 'donate' button at the top of each page" No numbers, or balance sheet that you would normally expect for an account statement of finances.
