Good food, cooked well doesn't need to be 'fancied up' to be memorable. Rog Slight disagreement from me. Food does need to be served presented well if you want to sell it, but presented in/on something that is appropriate for the occasion whether that is a newspaper or a plate. Badly cooked food will never be hidden by presentation though.

Just had some food at the Samuel Smith pub where I first met my other half (Chandos in Trafalgar square) and they served my Chips in a bucket. I was seriously considering hiding it in my daughter's rucksack (aka nicking it) but it was too small to be useful for the coal, unfortunately. Quite a nice little bucket though.

in swanage I brought the kids some and it came in a bucket.
They still take the bucket to the beach now.
