A pheasant is a bird. A cat is a mammal. There is a world of difference. Please elucidate.

A pheasant is a bird. A cat is a mammal. There is a world of difference. Please elucidate. Ok. It's quite a technical subject but to put it simply for you. A bird can fly. to stop it flying requires deliberate intervention (wing clipping, gun etc) . A cat can not fly and to make it fly requires intervention (throwing, swinging etc). They are wholly different beasts.

Have you ever considered how much shit is in the environment discounting human and dogs? I am not aware that anyone collects that and hangs it from trees in little bags. It is all part of life's rich tapestry and will generally return to the earth. Any doubts, just look what you're cleaning off your car or boat next time you wash it Rog There's a big difference between herbivore shit and carnivore shit. That's why I don't mind putting horseshit or cowshit on the garden to help things grow, but wouldn't put dogshit or human shit on it. do you fondly imagine that seagull shit is herbivorean in origin? I won't spoil your day. ............ oh, and many dogs are much more pleasant than some of the humans who have the undeserved privilege to occupy space on this crowded island.

Rampaging badger wounds five people.Five people were injured when a badger went on a 48-hour rampage in a suburb, it emerged today. The Worcestershire Badger Society said the creature, which has since been put down, left one victim needing skin grafts after launching the "unprecedented" attacks last Thursday and Friday. "It was like something out of a horror movie, he was bleeding so badly. To hear your husband screaming and shouting in such pain, it was horrifying." www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-180559/Rampaging-badger-wounds-people.html

"She was hitting it with her bag but it wouldn't give up" "The postman is scared to come into the village now in case the pheasant attacks him."
Gotta laugh.

Talking of game I went into the butcher's in Snaith and he asked if we'd like to buy some of his new burgers, he said they were 50% beef and 50% venison. "No thanks," says I, "they're too deer".

Might I recommend fowl play, no trouble, throw in corn, take out eggs. For the first time, this summer, we stuck 6 fertile eggs under a broody hen, all hatched but one died, leaving us with 3 hens and two little cocks (cue bawdy jokes) one of which I have just eaten (more ribaldry) in a chicken and home grown veg soup. I did wonder which cock to eat first, then realised any cockledoo.
