if you listened to what every idiot on here and cwdf posted, you'd go deaf. then don't listen to idiots, just those with common sense, like me obvs! the problem arises when any constructive criticism or questioning comment is seen as being against the "campaign". If you are going to do it, do it right, at the moment it could be seen as right on posturing, ineffective! Viewed and commented on by a measly few supporters. A few measly supporters 🤣🤣🤣🤣. I've had over 3000 messages in the last 15hrs, so excuse my lack of interest in your usual crap, I'm a bit busy. You carry on with your clowning around.

I've even received messages from CRT staff thanking me for bringing it into the public domain.

It's great that you've got so many, but is it enough, were they all positive comments, have you changed any minds that need changing or are you preaching to the converted? Your reply is somewhat selective, what about the rest, treating constructive criticism with abuse?

Much better to do something, rather than just pick fault with people who do.

Classic hill street blues; "let's go do it to them before they do it to us".

I really think there will be mass opposition to Crt, but I hope it happens before they have done to much damage.

The only crt apologist who hadn't chipped in yet is nick. But I think he's holding court on cwdf again.

I thought their goal was official - to run it down to semi-dereliction. The employee comments in the link confirm that.

One thing I did not expect from raising this issue, was the effect it would have on some at CRT. Putting aside our own differences on the forums, fb etc, I can appreciate the fact that making this public may now ensure the trust does something to counter the culture within. So, I may well be a bit of a twunt in some folks eyes for doing it, but I am comfy with having put it out there.

I think more would chip in only this forum isn't really known for being populated with those who oppose the anti CRT views expressed on here and when one does the response is often (though admittedly not always) just insults and abuse in return. It therefore makes it not really worth while to engage in a debate about it. I concede I dont know now much about what's going on nowadays as I am not 'on the ground' so to speak and rarely get to talk to other boaters any longer so I tend not to get involved in threads about boating 'politics', but I do think those boaters that do express a different opinion deserve a chance to be heard without being insulted.

I didn't say you had. I've edited it to make it clearer though.

sorry as you quoted me in your reply I thought not unreasonably that it was aimed at me.

Whatever one's personal views of C&RT, their policies, and long term goals, it would be disingenuous not to concede that C&RT management are not held in high regard by their bankside staff.
The general passing comments I have heard from C&RT staff I have met this year around my travels, have had a common thread reflected very accurately in the quotes posted by jenlyn.
It is not unusual for employees to speak unflatteringly about their gaffers, but the nature of these comments and the similarities demonstrated have to point to a significant problem with C&RT's management.
I hope the exposure jenlyn and others are giving to this matter will create improvements.
We all desire a healthy, well managed and focused waterway authority surely.
