I did a post with a quote in it, didn't display correctly, deleted and tried again still wrong. Just noticed other quotes going wrong on other posts. So either the forum software is playing up or dementia is creeping round the members. Any thoughts? What? Nurse! Park. Quacks.

I have noticed that if one includes a quote in a post, whenever one types a lower case letter i the cursor jumps into the quote. Very irritating.
Also noticed now, whenever I type an i it reverts to a capital letter.
Weird.

I hate technology but appreciate the advances it has enabled. In no particular order and by no means comprehensive:- Medicine - still along way to go but huge steps have been made in my lifetime alone. Automotive technology, a 1.4 cvh escort was a desperately sad thing. A 1.4 MultiAir Alfa less so. Botany and horticulture, call GM what you want, but disease resistant crops helping to eradicate famine is no bad thing. Astronomy and space exploration, society has a much deeper understanding of how we got here and what's around us than ever before. Materials science, never before has such a wide range of alloys and composites been available to us, things can be lighter, stronger, more resilient but not necessarily cheaper! The silicon chip has its place and is intertwined with all the above, bug sadly it is also responsible for the development of people, ideology and habits that aren't necessarily a benefit to society, unfortunately the genie is out of that particular lamp and can never be put back in

You only have to look at cars in the 90s to see how far they have come. And medicine. I couldent imagine life 100 years ago. How it has come on. It's not that long ago a doctor would be treating you with a fag in his mouth.

I guess when we see what has advanced in our lifetime and fast forward another few years its very scary to think what will be invented/honed....our kids have grown uo with technology and eldest son loves any new advance in this field....they cannot understand why i cannot understand what to do nor how to update stuff...I guess deep down I'm scared to 'play' with gadgets in case i break them...hence i ignore requests that pop up on phone/computer to download what ever...I've still never even downloaded a tune....i just do not trust gadgets...
