So Trump the Cunt has finally lost the plot. The latest shooting outrage is apparently nothing to do with guns, it is only to do with mental health issues ... and all countries suffer from that. He really can't analyse issues any further than he can throw a NAAFI bun.
I've given up looking forward to the day that this crooked bigot begins to take control and show (what I had hoped were) his true colours. No, he's just demonstrated that he is as weak as the piss from a serial cheap lager drinker and as stupid as a big fat carp who's been hooked a dozen times and still can't work it out.
I hope I am not an optimist, but I cannot believe that a man like him has the ability to press the red nuclear button without a set of electronic procedures requiring responsible civil servants and military experts to approve such an action.

Can't argue with any of that.
But in fairness to the lunatic, in the USA he's by no means in the minority with that view.

Given the NRA helped him get to where he is, he is never going to take them on, but then neither has any other POTUS before him in any serious way. They get the country they deserve I'm afraid. Too many of them are as thick as pig shit for there to be any sea change any time soon.

I'm not sure about the 'thick as pig shit' part.
The USA's culture and society has grown around guns as part of normal life.
It is perhaps slightly unfair to judge people based on our entirely different standards and behaviours.
I am always curious about what gun carrying Americans think of our society when they visit as tourists.
I suppose their view maybe rather like that of the 'village idiot' when asked for directions, and replied "Well you don't want to start from here".
Pandora's box can never be closed after all.

Heard Ian Dale on LBC earlier speaking with a pro gun chap from the states. His view was that all the people in the church shouldve been armed, then this wouldnt have been as bad!
He also went on about the 2nd amendment being paramount to the people in case of an out of control government infringes his personal freedom. The only time he could give an example of this was back in 1776.
so much fail

Rog When you hear some of them speak and the arguments they use to justify the reasons gun control should not gain any sort of traction I am sorry but some are clearly as thick as pig shit. Yes I agree it's too late now to wind back from where they are though.

A pig shit thicko who spouts unreasoned sound bites guaranteesβ a reaction so gets coverage. The majority of dull, boring but reasonable Americans are ignored by the media - they don't say anything that would get a strong enough reaction.

But sadly that carries through to those with political influence and not only the media, which is why nothing will change. Some of their politicians are as thick as those that elected them.

These laws being the product of 'intelligent' people? As I said thick as pig shit. Perhaps reasonable people can't be arsed to take on the extreme, better to keep your head down or side with the bullies. Sometimes the choice is fight or back down. I was told recently, face to face, that someone's bog standard engine's crank case needed extra breathing because his dellorto carburetors create a massive vacuum in the case which could crack it. The point of this story is he finished with "I worked as a mechanic for 8 years so I know what I'm talking about". I resisted asking if that was at Kwikfit. It was either snigger to myself or make him look an idiot in front of his friends, no opportunity for reasonable discussion.

No idea what the second bit has to do with the discussion, well I could hazard a guess. The simple fact is that politicians and people who think gun control is not a good idea must be pretty dim in order to believe 'the right to bear arms' overrides simple common sense. If they could even accept that the types of weapon available need to be controlled it would be a start. Yes OK bear your arms but not ones that can fire off multiple rounds in a single short press of a trigger. I'm always reminded of this incident at these times, complete lunacy.

I'm not sure about the 'thick as pig shit' part. The USA's culture and society has grown around guns as part of normal life. it also grew up around slavery as part of normal life, and it took a civil war to sort that out. ............. but that doesn't excuse slavery and an unwillingness to consider reform.
