After a conversation the otherday with Tony he suggested that this bantam tug is the oldest boat still in service with crt. I think he said it was new in 1956. Im interested does anybody else know of old boats still in service with crt? Incidentally I took this photo the other year when crt left their work boats on my mooring all winter. I was thinking of charging them £150 a day for overstaying . Especially as at the same time they where telling me I hadn't been seen on my mooring enough and I should precede to the mooring straight away.

Near right is an Eastwood 24 - an adaption of the Senior 23 hull moulding, the one next to it could be an Elysian/Bounty or JGM Madeira 27 The Blue Bantam tug is obscuring some, The next visible boat is one of Viking mouldings many types, after that they are two far away or sheeted up to be able to identify. You've completed your post before mine, no text and K for the title, hence my reply

Continuing Gazza's disgraceful thread hijack .......... What a shame that the 1920's Fenland tug 'Aleida', heroine of the recovery work after the disastrous 1947 Fens floods which has been at the Boat Museum at Ellesmere Port for about the last 15-years has now disappeared. Let's hope that she will not just be broken up.

I really don't mind people hijacking the thread as long as they post photos like these.
