It's about the only cricket I can stomach watching. That and 20 20.
I quite like having the ashes on the take as you can follow whilst still doing other stuff.

I like the "fast bit" on the news when they show what's happened - rather than the standing around waiting for something to happen...
In truth though, on a summers day, I often stop the car and watch a cricket match if I come across one - reminds me of being kid having picnics whilst dad was playing...

Although not a huge fan of cricket, I follow the Ashes series in the hope that the Aussies will be humiliated. A terrific sporting nation, any victory over them is worthy of celebration. The final score against Australia in last Saturday's rugby did not really reflect the quality of their team or the game, but hell, it was great to see them hammered on the scoreboard Rog

I've quite often wasted an afternoon with a picnik and a book and gone down the village green and watched a game. Only on a nice day mind you.

Been chatting to a few people in the pub... seems they are all much more confident now, I urged them to be more cautious, reply was 'what do I know about cricket', my reply was I used to go out with Reg Scarlett's daughter - stumped, they had to resort to phones...

Now I have been sorta following and if they can get the Aussie capt out tomorrow...before he hits couple of centuries it could go either way...now I could get awfully bored and lose the thread but gonna try and follow for a little while.....Its not terribly interesting is it?

I'm afraid 'we' are screwed as far as this rubber is concerned. Patty, I am equally heartened and deeply disconcerted by your comments.
