Looks like in the comments they are too busy arguing about crime reference numbers to actually look out for it.
And they are all wrong anyway.

For the removal of any doubt, I didn't help anyone this time.

Has the thief been castrated and had red hot mooring pins poked in his eyes?

Where?..What?..How? When? Who nicked it? Have they caught them?

Where?..What?..How? When? Who nicked it? Have they caught them? No idea who knocked it but it was found not far away. Everything of value had been removed and I mean everything. Fire, chimney, electric panels and loads more, tries getting batteries but knackered than in the process. Apparently she walked miles in the direction the boat was facing but the thieves turned it around and went the other way. She feels stupid as may of prevented most of the theft if found straight away. But the police were at the boat before her so taking it seriously.

I can remember some time ago a worker going into Jonathan Wilson's yard at Sheffield, pulling up, and getting out to unlock and open the gate, a toe rag had the van away. No payout because he had left the the van unlocked while seeing to the gates. It made me take extra care at our marina gates.

Thats something we all do as is leaving doors unlocked when in the house...just had warning that opportunist thieves are going down streets trying door handles...now locked in..car locked in garden..I guess what I really need is another dog....

So you're supposed to stop the engine and lock the doors (you have to stop the engine to get the key out of the ignition slot, 'cos you need the key for the open/close doors fob these days - unless you have a spare key) even though the gates may be just in front of the vehicle?
