I was given a very nice Furuno GPS plotter with c-map cards with my new boat but it is missing the power lead. It might be on the boat somewhere but I don't think the plotter had been installed. Its got the aerial and all the books and several c-map cards. In excellent condition but a power lead is Β£50 and I want to know it works first. It looks almost new so probably does work. It looks like a 3 pin 120' plug (female) is what's needed.. I did some googling and people suggest a diy job by epoxying some connectors into approximately the right shape. I mean just to test it not as a permanent fixture. The pins are a bit close together to put croc clips in there. Question is what sort of connectors? I wondered about mini crimp terminals with one half cut off to give a single thin tube connector. Any other ideas on this ? Or maybe crimp pin connectors opened up a bit?

The pins look about 1.5mm thick. I will wait until boat is here (next Wednesday) in case the power lead is in there.
If I can't locate the lead then I will take up your kind offer gazza.
Ta.

That helps ! If there is more than one cashier I assume you politely drop out of the queue and let the next person past if the wrong cashier is ready I would, "oh I just have to check if the address is right, get out phone, invite next customer to go to the available cashier. Etc.

Its similar. I think my old Koden gps has the one on your link but it doesn't fit the furuno unit. The Furuno seems to have a sort of bayonet fitting.
