Glad to hear you are okay !
There is definitely a market for delivering coal and fuel to boats by road. If you have dry storage (very dry) available then I think buying up large quantities of wood waste briquettes in summer would work. I remember seeing them very cheap last summer as they are landfill. They do need keeping dry though.
Then deliver to boats in winter along with diesel and coal. There was a bloke here doing the Wickes 10kg bags of brazier for £5 delivered (£1 markup), he also did red diesel and had some briquettes as well.
I suppose in your area there are less customers overall..

And Low, From the misty shallows of the Slough Arm there appeared the returning hero of many great battles with the evil foes of the good. Sorry to have been away folks. Been a bit busy with retiring from the filth and then working for Ocado for a bit, delivering much needed supplies to the poor and needy of Ascot and Virginia Water. Have now put my final retirement battle plan into operation by starting my own courier business doing same day deliveries nationwide although so far it seems mainly delivering to the south east....still waiting for the big money long distance orders. Anyone need anything moving?........I was also wondering if there is a market for delivering coal/fuels to boats by road? or even offer to do a 'pick up your shite box and empty it' service. No job too smelly or too small right, back to the recently updated tab. got a lot of catching up to do There was a guy we used to get our red diesel from on the T&M who used to bring fuel to our boat, so I guess there is something of a market in it. How did you find the Ocado thing, I've thought about doing the same for one of the big five.

Loved Ocado and unlike the others, as the driver you don't have to load the van or sort anything out. Its all done for you. All you have to do is get in and deliver the stuff then back to base where all the empties are unloaded for you. From the West Drayton Base we had quite a few boat customers dotted around the M4 corridor and covered an area from Past Reading in the west into London as far as Hammersmith/Chiswick so plenty of variation and driving and good exercise.

Its good that the only open rozzer on the forum has left the force. It will allow people to discuss their crimes more openly.
I'm basil.

I did a bit for Ocado and they were ok to work for except for lonely and frustrated housewives pestering me for sex all the time.

I did one year delivery driving for Somerfields. No coincidence they shut down Rog ETA The very same day that Salty reappears, the lovely Marni turns up! Time to get the rumours started

I have been absent for a while. The last time I was on here my daughter was taken ill sadly she passed away suddenly 14 months ago so with one thing and another time passes.Anyway I have had a cough for a few weeks and off I went to have a scan and see a consultant about it ,after various tests it was decided I have pulmonary fibrosis. When I was at hospital they asked if I had ever been in sooty places.I told them we lived on a boat for a long time and he seems to think its the fine coal dust that seems to get every where on a boat that may have caused it.Its simaler to what Keith Chegwin had.Hope you are all doing well and looking forwad to the better weather for boating

Sorry about the tactless joke about your absence.
Deepest sympathies for your loss.

Ahh Dogless its fine .I was just curious if anyone else has heard of the coal dust causing bad chests So sorry to hear about your loss and yes, I even started a thread about the problems I was experiencing about a year ago which I believed was due to the coal I was burning, I'll see if I can find it.

My Dad has the same illness as Keith Chegwin. I did a fair bit of research into causes and to try to find out how I could help him cope. I'll have a look through the research and if I think I have anything that might help I'll let you know.
