I've done it a few times but being narrow we did perhaps have some sort of advantage.

Well done, and good for you, . . . . so why did you post that tripe about taking a run at it then ? You misunderstand, I knew it would just become another excuse to have a pop at CRT.

Doesn't all this really come down to how much you want or need to move. If the need is great (for whatever reason) gather up a few fellow boaters and bow haul the bloody thing through the crap.

The fact is that Crt have a duty to make sure navigation is clear. I'm not blaming the bank staff, I've spoke to them. They used to clear and now they are told not to. So who else is responsible other than Crrt?

You might see it as another 'pop at C&RT', . . others might see it as a piece of constructive criticism which could assist them in addressing their all too numerous shortcomings as a navigation authority.

Where on earth have i 'had a go at you' ffs kris you need to grow up. so why not answer the question I've asked you? Only when you have answered mine. Look kris I realise it's tiresome for you when I try to pin you down on specifics but that is the way of the world and exactly what CRT will throw back at you.

It's not tiresome Martin it's predictable there's a difference. And I asked you the question first. So who else do you think is responsible other than Crt.

You're making it very clear how little you understand about how boats and the water they're floating in 'work'. Any boat passing through a very restricted gap, such as between those floodgates and walls, will displace and move water about in just the same way whether it's under power, carrying it's way and drifting, or being bowhauled. The odds on getting jammed in the gates by floating chunks of rubbish is equally great, irrespective of whatever it is that's making the boat move.

I can't see anything in that crap that would jam a 14ft boat with 1ft gap either side if it was being pulled through.

Kris, you are what I would categorise as a 'victim' always looking for an excuse not to comply. You tube and Facebook are full of videos and posts of the same ilk. Where do I say CRT are rnot responsible?
