As is in all things in life, there's a time to be serious and a time to have fun. It's about timing really...and not being a twat... Did you get bullied at school? Serious question BTW... Spare us the amateur psychology and stick to plucking guitar strings or whatever it is you do. It's just something I was wondering really and would be interested in your view, if you have one. I think most of us have been bullied at some time in our lives. As a result some of us end up in a shell and have nothing but contempt for others, and some learn humbleness. It's a choice really...and yes, I know I'm too serious sometimes.

You can have a stab at it (as I guess we all do and I've done) but we could in reality be a million miles away.

Meeting people in real life is far better because the body langauge says everything. Another reason to be careful what we say on a forum really as we could bump into each other any time (well hopefully not literally!). It never ceases to amaze me how nice everyine is to eachother on the cut. I suppose it's the same in caravan clubs too. It was a pity CDS never turned up at that NBTA rally really. I'm sure he's not such a bad chap really.

I take Internet forums and chat places seriously, as they are real people at the other end. Canalworld was my first and only forum thingy ever, until this place came along.
I always bear in mind I also have my reputation to maintain.

I always bear in mind I also have my reputation to maintain. Speaking of maintaining a reputation, you've been slagging off on the naughtiness these past few days. Is that because your lady love is a good influence on you, or that she's looking over your shoulder and you feel compelled to behave?

Past few days quietness could be explained like this, that it was 2822 kilometres from northern Finland to Rotterdam/Hoek van Holland.
Also a bit slow to tap stuff out on a mobile phone.
Been slaving away today getting the old tub spruced up: a towel rail fitted, wiring for new horn, 2 new brass hooks in cratch, hook for kitchen cupboard door so plates won't fall out when we smash into lock gates. 3 boxes of unwanted items from our garage taken to charity shop. 3 bottles engine oil collected from pub. Office dealings. Cleaned chimney and re-sealed stove joint with black silicone. Broke our Desmo socket just now (aluminium - fractured whilst removing- bought it last July). Pleased to find engine room floor dry as a bone. Window protectors removed, 240v shoreline connected

...and 2 clock batteries renewed. CO and smoke alarm batteries re-installed. Breakfast in Weatherspoons, afternoon tea and blackberry and buttermilk cake at Gabriel's, reindeer soup for tea. Oh - and replaced 10 litres of diesel back into the tank through a filter, this had been sucked up from the bottom of the tank and left to settle for examination.
Heard that the bridges at Elland should be open on 4th July.
If weather OK tomorrow, working on our batteries & painting weed hatch cover.
