Oh that’s annoying. Was there much damage? Normally a Hudson is pretty robust. I had to shave a millimetre off a door edge to get it to close again, but no distortion to the hull. There's a dink in the gunwale top edge, is all, like a hammer blow. She's definitely robust! Half my tools were on the floor. If we'd been on board we'd definitely have shat ourselves. Hope you two are well. Oh sounds severe! Yes we are fine thanks, just off for a 2 week trip tomorrow. Ditto to you and T.

Thanks, Jeff’s head is now normal shape and he has just quit work to take a sabbatical so we are looking forward to a long trip this summer!

Hiya Phil! All is well ta, hopefully the same with you. Yes, we got pranged but were not on board, no witnesses. I'll get the next one! Oh that’s annoying. Was there much damage? Normally a Hudson is pretty robust. I suppose there's always the danger that some of the rivets might get scraped off.

Anything is possible, but bearing in mind that to the best of my knowledge no Hudson (and there are over 200 of them) has ever had a rivet scraped off, it seems more likely that you would turn out to be a woman brandishing a knitting needle.

We discovered a substantial dent in our bow, above the top rubbing strake. Something had hit us very hard and quite high up. We weren't on board at the time (thank goodness). The paint work was split over the dent. We were advised by Roger Farrington, that the only repair was to cut out the steel and weld in a new piece, but it wasn't worth spending the money, so we rubbed it down and repainted. We like to think it adds character Rog
