Matthew Symonds is the one in yellow. . . . . . . . . . . but still lacking the appropriate headgear ! [One Dictionary Definition for the noun: ~ headgear1. A covering, such as a hat or helmet, for the head.]

Its not a rumour. CRT are going to do a "rebranding exercise". I assume this is to precede big changes and contracting out or selling of things like moorings etc.
Seems likely something will happen at some point. 1995 was a long time ago.

The New C&RT Uniform ? I think I'd trust the telly tubies with the future of the waterways, more than the current managment team.

I'm sure there will be other things tucked in with the rebranding exercise, like the re drawing of the areas maybe? Contracting out of their online moorings is definately on the cards. I think even they would find it difficult to sell the moorings separately.

Good one about Denny. During the summer, his head always reminds me of those tiger loaves at tescos, the ones with marmite on.

The re branding was confirmed on the CRT volunteers page "Edd Moss: Thanks for the comments. Here are a couple of key points around the rebranding (and apologies for telling you stuff you may already know). Firstly the brand is so much more than the logo and uniform, it comes directly from what the Trust's aiming to achieve, how we talk about ourselves and what the public see us as. Looking back whilst we've had so much focus around engineering, heritage and the natural environment, we are recognising more and more that our canals and rivers are about people. The Trust is about how people enjoy the engineering, heritage and natural environment (and so much more) and how they benefit from their local waterways. We want to ensure that the way we present ourselves and how people see us reflects that. Secondly, the way we currently talk about ourselves isn't connecting with the broader public enough. Research and feedback (which included a focus group with some Trust volunteers as far as I remember) has shown that we could do this better, hence why we're looking to improve things. Yes there's a cost associated with signage, clothing etc. but this will be aimed to be done on as much on a 'rolling' basis as possible as. Signs and clothes need replacing over time so, whilst there will be some immediate investment needed in these, a fair amount will be replaced as it needs replacing over a longer period."
