Had a minor breakdown this morn too when i rapidly lost power / revs...Thought I'd got tangled by weed etc but couldnt restart motor after it died! π± Dropped engine filter, all clear, dropped primary filter out of tank and yup...it was pretty shitty...π chucked it out and now running with just my engine filter....will replace them both when I'm back to Burscough.π Hasten to add, its now performing like a 29hp 'race tuned' twin cylinder diesel Ruston Hornsby should do!ππ Glad to read that you did manage to find-out what the problem was, and cured it for the time being, and probably added another filter again by now. I do like your photo's of the trip, but now that you've told us about your 29hp 'race tuned' Ruston Hornsby, I'm not as happy anymore, as I would have liked very much to hear the sound of such a specially prepared engine, I love the sound of these old twin cylinders. Peter.

The engine does sound beautiful, and I didn't see clouds of black smoke coming out off the exhaust, so it's surely an engine in excellent condition. With some decent maintenance they're ever lasting. Peter.

We finnally got going. The barge inn for the first night and then down to bath yeaterday. Rain was on and off all day with emphisis on on, quute alow going with some hire crews around but were only here for a gentle cruise anyway. I get Nicks point. From bradford on avon to bath we never got out of tick over but we found some pace to moor. Going to go through the two tunnels in a bit and then walk into bath and do some sightseeing.

I just looked at Foxhangers Marina on Google Maps and the satellite view - somehow it looks much smaller than I remember, and the car park looks to be in a different place. Although we did turn up in he dark. Google Satellite view says 2018.
