Fantastic Engine I used to have one. Got us all the way from Amsterdam to Chatham, it did give me a scare while negotiating the Swale when smoke started pouring out of the engine room, it turned out to be the oil filler cap had come loose and was chucking oil on the engine block. Pic of me trying to wipe off the oil

Yea i like jp's. I think the only engines I like more are Gardner L2's.

Thing is its s bit big for the "look at me" for want of another word narrow boat owners so it won't have a lot of value.
Nice unit though
Ex generator means it is a bit of a headache to stick it in a boat but not insurmountable.

Not as bad as you would think, it's already been in a boat. Just a matter of sorting out how to attach a gearbox. What would worry me more is that it's had a cylinder head changed, no compression change over on the replacement.
