The total cost of the rebrand of CRT is 2.1 million quid, or one percent of their total income for this year.

"Canal walks are being prescribed by GPs to combat depression, the Canal and River Trust has revealed. A trip to the canal reduces stress and helps people deal with low mood and loneliness, the charity's chairman has claimed"
Dr Parry, I presume?
"In one case a GP service in Buckinghamshire has begun prescribing a canalside walking route to help patients deal with depression" - are they expecting people to throw themselves in and stop bothering the doctors?

Actually, and ironically, there is truth in the logic. Being at one with nature (reality) is more fun and healthier than the virtual lifestyle we are being shoehorned into. Maybe Mr Parry should try it more often....

It just astonishes me that they confidently lie, and believe that people are really stupid enough to buy into it. Any small respect I held for parry has now completely gone, the guy is pathetically out of his depth.

He needs a white jacket. Either he's a doctor - or off to the loony bin!

I must admit after watching that video parry has lost any sense dignity he might have had, he's made himself look particularly silly. It is astonishing that they get away with the lying like they do, but it's because most people just blindly accept what ever an "authority" says. Just look at the cretins on cwdf who defend cart whatever they do, mind you there's a few like that on here.

I suppose the next logical step will be CRT doing prescriptions?

It's pathetic and as I've said before, would be highly comical if it wasn't so serious. So they are going to be a property speculating company that works for the well being of the nation and does a bit of keeping the navigation open for boaters.on the side.

Paul says: "Each summer we have a two week studio workation to Tarifa in Spain where we hire a small studio to work from, do graphic design, swim at lunchtime, eat and drink in the evenings and visit beach bars at weekends. Not a bad life really." Indeed not. I hope my CRT-licence increase of £49 helps you with your life of luxury. www.linkedin.com/pulse/interview-studio-blackburn-brand-identity-paul-blackburn
