As a matter of interest does anyone remember Paul...Nulife42 from CWDF. Well he lived aboard a widebeam Sea Otter and did a lot of coastal cruising and when he lost his dog who was with him 24/7 he fell out of love with his boat so sold it and bought a F Off big twin axle camper named The Nest He has spent the last couple of years travelling around Britain. He has visited every Scottish island that has a ferry. One island proved a challenge as far as parki g was concerned so he rocked up at the lighthouse, knocked on the door and asked if he could use their car park. He was told yes on the proviso that he make them a brew. He got to see the Northen Lights too. He lives by doing a couple of days work now and again for farmers who need a hand or some welding etc. Happy as Larry. Phil

I can only go on my brother and a pals experience. Terrific in theory, but difficult in England. Scotland is great for wild camping, and France provides areas specifically for it. England treats everyone like 'travellers' I'm told. Rog it is difficult but we always manage. our aim is to find a land owner to give us permission to camp in their woods in exchange for some free Labour and to look after the woods. this is this week end one nighter.
