Now then, now then. This isn't CWDF. Our purpose here is NOT to scare off every first time poster isn't it? Rog

I still have loads of Thunderboat ads for sticking up in corner shops, I must make a big effort this Summer to do that. Who knows, the character of TB could be quite different this time next year with an influx of 50 new members. Isn't it about time there was an article about TB in the IWA magazine? Why does Damian never mention TB in his monthly Boaters Update? You mean to say it will change from a "cesspit of gods' mistakes" into a whole lake of them?

It might be a bit soon for that. I think that suggesting someone is a CRT spy simply because of their choice of username is much more likely to put them off than giving them an early Twat - specially when they have indicated that they are aware of the "forum banter".

Sorry I forgot the smiley face You could always add one if you like The forum software means you can edit or even delete any of your posts until The End of The World. Handy feature I find. You don't have to do it today.

Well, I have some idea of wot some of you are talking about, and a small inkling into some of the forum banter so don’t worry about offending me. The boats a 57 ft early 1990’s ex Alvechuch hire boat which the surveyor assessed as ‘a bit tired but basically sound, but in need of updating’ which coincidentally is how my teenage daughter describes me. I’ll post some pics next week when I’ve picked her up. I’ll be working at Birmingham Airport which is a bit of a trek from Kings Orchard but I work unsociable shifts so traffic will hopefully be kind, but I may move the boat a little closer into Brum later in the year. Thanks for the welcome 👍🏻 Just a thought but we’re at Fazeley Mill, the sister marina of King’s Orchard. Walkable to the train station (15 mins or so) - though I think you have to go via New St? And by car down to the Belfry roundabout, on to the M42 etc, or “back road” A446 if the motorway is clogged. In other words, a shorter commute. They/we are a friendly lot at FMM with a lot of live aboards. Walkable to Ventura for all the shopping you could want, very short walk to several pubs, takeaways and a Tesco Express in Fazeley. I did inquire about a mooring at Fazeley Mill but nobody ever got back to me and Kings Orchard had a space coming vacant at just the right time so I bagged it while I had the chance. I’ve only paid up front for a 3 month initial stay so I can always move if I find the commute a problem. Having looked at the Fazeley moorings online the thought of tying to back the boat down those narrow spaces between the piers to moor up put me off a little as well ......

You just guide yourself along the other boats. It's the wide open spaces where REAL embarassment is possible. Rog

Twat Knob 😜 Sorry but I don’t think that is an approved term of abuse on here. Try “twattery of double twat” for some variation.
