The trouble with thunderboat is, threads wander off at a tangent.
You have to read everything as the title is no guide to what's being talked about.
The good thing about thunderboat is that you can say what you like, so threads wander off at a tangent.
You have to read everything........
deja vu....
what was I saying....
nurse... nurse !

Well, one thing I’ll say from early exposure to this forum is threads certainly take on a life all of their own. It's one of the things I love about this forum !!! threads veer off, nobody gets offended by it and usually they return to the theme .... but not always !!! I think it's great

So you into motorbikes and sports cars then? Details and pics please👍 Pics may have to wait till I’ve figured out how to post them on yet another different forum. Cars yes, classics mostly old British sports cars and Minis. I specialise in paying over the odds for a total lemon, spending an absolute fortune, then selling at a substantial loss. If you look at TMF (the mini forum) under Mini Variants projects and search for a thread called ‘Another pickup called Percy’ that’s my current attempt to waste the kids inheritance. Unfortunately my dreams of Lotus Elan ownership have now vanished as the money I’d squirrelled away for years has gone into the boat 😭 Bikes - only the human powered variety I’m afraid. I’ve ridden them, fallen off them and contributed to lots of forums over the years. I used to / still occasionally write articles and blog posts on it www.thedecliningcyclist.wordpress.com if anyone’s interested in a middle aged bloke going on about how he used to be good at something in his yoof

Your username indicates some sort of link with horse drawn wagons. When I was a boy we had a pony and a governess cart. Great fun. Mini pickup is a nice vehicle. A bit unusual to see a good one these days.

My friend had a Capri 3.0s auto which was pretty wicked. Cheap car at the time (S reg so about 20 years old at the time). Was badly damaged by another car when it was parked so he got rid of it not having cash to fix it. That would be a real classic now if still going !!
