I just picked up on the irony of “I WRITE IN CAPs SO THAT I CAN SEE WHAT I AM WRITING AND NOT MAKE ANY SPELLING MISTAKES”. Anyone who is concerned not to make any spelling mistakes would surely also want to make a reasonable stab at punctuation, but that chap didn’t. What you need to understand Mr TellyMackus is that a person may be very intelligent in many ways, yet have difficulty with written language, the English language particularly being a difficult language to master as it does not follow basic linguistic rules, i.e. that every written letter is always pronounced in exactly the same way. Russian is a beautifully simple language, very easy to learn, simply because it has not been bastardised in the way that English has, mostly by pretentious people in the Victorian era who felt that their superior education enabled them to make "improvements" to what had come before.
I don't see how my quoted post, and your reply, are connected. I am well aware of what dyslexia is but it isn't about a complete absence of punctuation whilst spelling words correctly.
Anyway, I got the impression that the chap was using caps because he had poor eyesight and/or a small screen. Or just doing it deliberately to wind folk up. I don't think there was a suggestion that he was dyslexic or had other difficulty with written language.

I must just say that I have met TellyMackus in real life, and despite what he posts here he does come across as a reasonably balanced and sensible person.

Great fun innit.
Typical of CWDF which increasingly appears to be filling up with people who feel compelled to post on every given thread whether they have anything pertinent to say or not.
There was a recent thread where a Newby sought advice regarding generators, and received lectures on anti social behaviour.

I am always conscious of possible reactions to anything I post.
Not necessarily true of everyone though eh?

Thanks, everyone.
First time I've been tempted to look at AnalWorld for years - but well worth it.
Is Dan still at the helm? Is he trying to create something he can make money from by selling it on somewhere?

This:- dmr 501 dmr #44 Posted 6 hours ago 6 hours ago, nicknorman said: Yes to some extent. But when people come on here asking a question as a first post (ie looking to gain something for nothing) and then get angry and abusive as soon as they don’t get exactly the sorts of replies they want, I suggest they are not really the sorts of people this forum wants or needs. They would be better on a closed Facebook group where everyone complies with the groupthink and there is no chance of the shock and horror of having to try to tolerate someone who disagrees with you or has an alternative way of thinking. and not the sort of people we need on the cut either. ...............Dave Immediately made me think of this We'll have no shouting here 👍🍻

Oh, and Nick, man up and stop running with the fox and hunting with the hounds.
You have to be commended for shaming a few into putting their big boys pants on but flip flopping between two stand points is a bit weak.

Au contraire, I am a fully balanced person and can thus see that such things aren’t binary. I am Mr Compromise, fully understanding and empathising with both sides of the coin. As for running with foxy and hunting with dogless, no never done that.
