Having commited to hiring from Alvechurch early Sept for 2 weeks, the question is which way round for the ring clockwise or anti- clockwise?

I donβt think it matters particularly. Maybe work out where you would end up night stopping each way round, and then decide which of those groups of stopping places is nicer. Iβd probably go anti-clockwise so I ended up in Birmingham and could then use any spare time to explore the BCN.

Decide on the day, what the hell I love arriving at junctions and randomly choosing which way to go. It's a ring, so it doesn't make a massive difference. Most importantly, have a great time. Rog

We did it clockwise from Kate's, no real benefit either way, Brum is at the start rather than the end so if you are meeting friends or family on route thar is about all you have to consider.

I don't think it's worth recommending π₯π₯π₯ I will always recommend kate boats. fantastic customer service they couldn't bend over backwards any more for us. we were able to leave early enough to get up Hatton locks on the Saturday even with it getting dark at around 6pm being October half term. the price was great and the boat was great. even if it was Stephen which had not been long used for filming by Tim and Pru. great hire company. we loaded the boat at 11 and gone by 12.

Thanks all - will most likely go anti-clockwise as per Nick's suggestion if I have spare time I would have the opportunity to 'hone' my weed hatch diving skills on the BCN.π Just learnt that Euston will be closed on our starting day so gave to go via Marylebone to Moor St then hike across to New St for the Alvechurch connection.π€
