Bring on those well being bins.......... It’s like the days I used to be on FB. We tried out using a FB group to promote our band. Out of those who said they were attending, only about 5% turned up. Still, if they get 1.500 to 2,000 turn up out of 30 - 40k that wouuld be impressive.

I used to volunteer for the festival when Alan Andrews ran it. 25,000 visitors over the two days. Good festival, but lost its way a bit under new management.

Not that many boats turn up, maybe 25-30, but the footfall was huge. It pitches in the field above the canal as well, and has parking for over 700 cars.

His words to my statement that it was advantageous to the Trust. I had pointed out the benefits of the festival to CRT, he stated there was none. A pretty stupid answer from a trustee in my view, and proved to me beyond doubt that the Trust is managed by idiots. CRT always had a free pitch for their gazebo chuggers, and 25,000 people were made aware of the canals. If CRT and it's trustee don't have the intelligence and skills to benefit from that, we are fucked.

I saw a C&RT alert recently 'reminding' everyone that wide beams had to book passage through the tunnels.
Do you by any chance know what if anything prompted such a reminder?
