TBH things will probably have to get a lot worse before the public start to see the truth. Let’s face it, how much action are boaters taking at the moment to pressure CRT into doing more to maintain the infrastructure? In the future will Mr Parry be seen as the man who protected and grew our heritage, or the man who let the navigation fall apart under his watch? I suppose to be fair, the answer to that question depends on the true state of the navigation when it got handed over from BWB. I suspect there were plenty of time bombs waiting to go off. Yes I've been hearing this rhetoric for a while now. We can help shape the future, the people who are aware of what's happening to the waterways have a duty to publicise what the reality is. Otherwise your are part of the problem not the solution and as culpable as cart. ps nothing you have said excuses cart from getting the lies published about this incident. Indeed. Has anyone actually asked CRT or the media outlet where the source of that information came from? I’m not sure if any of the boating organisations are taking any action on this, but there is nothing stopping any of us writing to CRT (Mr Parry) or to the media outlet concerned.

Actually thinking back, the one time I did speak out strongly at a CRT meeting it was to do with the daft licence consultation. It was mainly other boaters and an independent consultation team who were present. The CRT management rep buggered off not long after the start of the meeting. Lol. I have written to Mr Parry a few times and have always got a polite reply. Try it.

I've worked for crt, so have met most of the senior managment face to face many times. So you went to a meeting once and raised an issue is that the extent of how much you care? Okay so the twat was proberly a bit unwarranted but do you seriously think all I do is post on here about the situation on the waterways?

andy.johnson@madeitallup.con Thanks very much foxy, that's very helpful. Here you go Kris.. richard.parry@canalrivertrust.org.uk BTW, there is a big difference between being an employee of a company and being a customer....but then again there shouldn’t be... :-(

You could try different variants of andy.johnson andrew.johnson etc. ...on the other hand he may have been sacked if he was responsible for that article and there is no evidence behind it

I am reliably informed that CRT's "big lie" has now been promulgated by the Times ........ does no one check these articles for facts ?
