ahh personal digs, classy.
This fella lost a boat due to no licence, people buy him another which he doesn't think he needs a licence for, loses that one also, do you not think he should have enquired if he needed a licence?
Shit state of affairs, crt are shit, i feel for him and having a stroke is shit also, but how many boats does this fella need to lose.

Poor do. However why didn't his mates keep him up to date on the tender/licencing situation. Afaik you're only allowed a tender for free if you are moored on a river, not a canal, and the tender never goes out of sight of the boat. Is that right or not?

Really? As a non facebook user all I get is a picture of cart unloading tools from a pontoon. I have to say the pontoon is not of their normal standard.

However, he does actually bring about his own downfalls, stubborn seems to be his state of mind. Having contributed last time, I won't again.

I suggest you read what has happened before you shoot your mouth off. I haven't bothered to read it because being on Facebook, it will just be someone's opinion of what happened, embellished with their personal agenda. It may or may not be true and I don't have the time to read the world's rants. (those on here are quite enough!). Believing what you read on FB is worse than believing what you read in the Daily Mail.

No it's not right, your allowed a tender on a canal, there are some stupid rules about it but basicly if it 12ft or less it's free. But if you read what happened someone tried to liscence his tender before the enforcement action but the local enforcement officer decided they wouldn't do this. They would rather cause distress to someone who has had a stroke and spend the money that this has cost.

Believing what you read on FB is worse than believing what you read in the Daily Mail. Bit of a generalisation that, and not a healthy one. FB can and is a good source of information, but as with everything these days, you have to cut through the crap to get it. If, you had taken the bother to read it, you would have seen some sensibility as well as the usual ranty stuff.
