Hi all,
Recently heard about the forum and so thought I'd take a look. I'm 3 years into live aboard boating, currently on my 55ft narrowboat NB Caelmiri.
Enjoying the lifestyle and the people I've met! Hoping to get further afield than the confines of London but alas job requirements keep me within the Old Smoke.
Maybe that'll change in the near future and I'll get to travel up those other bits of the canal I keep seeing when I get out of town on a weekend!
Anyway, just a quick(ish) hello!
welly

Welcome, and well done for posting right off.
If you're confined to London, and still enjoying boating, you're going to love getting out around the system.

Hello and welcome. Hope you get out of that there Londonland to see the world. Tho I've heard some like it there, is it true the towpaths are paved with gold and you can moor as long as you want wherever you want without a licence?

Welcome Welly - (that sounds like something we should offer on Ellis) ... We're dying to boat to London but other places keep getting in the way. Still, there's a WHOLE load of system to explore so no rush - assuming they can keep some water in it long enough!
This place is generally a fine way to kill time avoiding naff TV.... AND it's ok (despite what stabby says) to be ginger too.

Have walked some times between Hertford and Ware, as I lived in Hertford and studied and worked in Ware. River Stort also 'my territory'. Should be lurking on those waters in 2-3 years' time.

@welly How about putting a joke on the joke thread in The Pit? All jokes are welcomed there. Give us an idea of what you giggle about

A welcome from the desolate North where men are still men and so are the women. 😀

Just noticed the boat name NB Caelmiri, is there a Welsh connection.
