Well I've steamed straight in and resurrected an old thread so should also introduce myself it's only polite I am currently all lifebuoy and no boat but am looking hard for the right one. We'll be new to boating and we're after a 4 berth narrow beam GRP such as an Ormelite or a Creighton. This seems a more welcoming place than a couple of other forums I've ventured on! Looking forward to sticking around and getting afloat Cheers Sean

Owdo. Coincidence that an ormelite has just been posted in the For sale threads? I had a Dc 22 for years.

Owdo misterp ...... welcome !!! Ormelites ..... smashing little boats (my second boat, used for exploring the narrow ditches is an Orme)
I did see that Thistledoo is for sale up on the Driffield ...... there has been a couple of them on the market over the last few months.

It's a little odd, first 'welly' and then 'MrP'. All in the course of just 2 days. Anyway, all welcome here! Except me.

Hello mister
Welcome to Thunderboat. This is a good place to discuss boats of all sorts. We have several owners of splitters.
I've got on in my fleet. A colvic 20.
Another one to look at might be the Morgan Giles Mariner. They are pretty nice narrow beam GRP. There is one called "Dalescraft" as well but maybe not big enough.
