I don't know why. But that is my favourite narrowboat. It definitely has a nice back end shape. I've seen it in person years ago did not really inspect closely but it does seem to be quite pleasing considering the fact it will fit in the coffin locks. Yes I've seen it in person, it is about the only narrowboat I've seen that I would like to own. It's got a Gardner 4l2 in it, I seem to recall. Apparently there where two of them built Sharpness and Gloucester, but I've never seen or heard about Gloucester.

don't know ..... doghouse was banned then banned again for using his wife's account to continue a row, plus umpteen warnings etc. etc. All I can say is that I must have been a hell of a threat to the establishment to get a life ban without any previous I believe they had a look at some of your less publicised former professional activities and had a meeting about you. The result of the meeting was "what the heck?" as soon as they realised who you were the ban had to follow. Don't ask me how I know this as its classified suffice to say I know who you are as well and understand why you had to move your boat in such an unusual and hasty way. Its easy to say it was about the spring tides but I know different. Between you and me I'll keep it under wraps. What time of day do you start drinking?

Might have been an L2. Eta I saw Gloucester moored at Windsor a couple of years ago. Lovely looking replica it was. I've since passed the same mooring on the Thames a few times this year and it has not been there so must have been relocated. This is what I hate about marinas. You see a nice boat then it disappears into a marina. I sometimes go into marinas in the dinghy to have a look around but people get twitchy and I don't like to intrude.

I don't know why. But that is my favourite narrowboat. I've mentioned it before... we met Sharpness at Lapworth (Stratford Canal) 4 years ago. The owner then was not Colin.

The blessing is we are unlikely to meet either of them on the cut. Perhaps the bitterness is a consequence of boatlessness. Β More likely a consequence of being married. Hey!! I've been happily married for 12 years now - so Mrs Gazza keeps telling me

I've just been reading up on the historic ships register. On there it says it's a 3cylinder 4l2 ?? So who knows. But apparently the sister boats there where two others are no more. But it sounds a bit like triggers broom, I suppose what do you expect for a boat that is 110years old. I still really like the boat though and you won't hear me say that about narrowboats very often.
