Gotta laugh - 644 pages of 'Brexit' on a non-political, non-religious 'Family' forum, started by a moderator who dished out warnings and bans for 'political content' - now locked.
The hypocrisy!

I think it was a 4LK in it which is considerably less satisfactory than an L2. Might have been an L2. Eta I saw Gloucester moored at Windsor a couple of years ago. Lovely looking replica it was. I've since passed the same mooring on the Thames a few times this year and it has not been there so must have been relocated. This is what I hate about marinas. You see a nice boat then it disappears into a marina. I sometimes go into marinas in the dinghy to have a look around but people get twitchy and I don't like to intrude. I've just been reading up on the historic ships register. On there it says it's a 3cylinder 4l2 ?? So who knows. But apparently the sister boats there where two others are no more. But it sounds a bit like triggers broom, I suppose what do you expect for a boat that is 110years old. I still really like the boat though and you won't hear me say that about narrowboats very often. The narrow boat "Gloucester" was a replica not an old boat. Good looking for a narrow beam vessel to be fair. Image stolen from a blog webshite. Eta apparently there were 5 of the originals according to this page www.nationalhistoricships.org.uk/register/724/worcester

The Gloucester apparently built by Shire Cruisers / Britannia narrowboats.
They know how to build canal boats up that way !

Wast Hill tunnel tugs = Birmingham, Sharpness and Worcester, then? This subject has been discussed in detail on TB a couple of years ago.

I've copied this from over there:
"A lot of moaning about inconsistencies in the rules, and I suppose I understand it but instead of moaning about the rare occassion that rules were enforced, why not rejoice that the rest of the time we get left alone? There are plenty of online forums which are far more heavily moderated than this including ones in which every single post has to be pre-approved by a moderator (and the moderators don't check for days). If you're really that bothered about getting warning points and closed threads then don't break the rules. Simple."
This has received a 'like' from none other than Graham Davies. This is the same Graham Davies that launched personal attack after personal attack on me, in contravention of the rules over there. He, along with MJB are responsible for the Brexit thread being locked.
I'm starting to wonder about Graham. Before I saw that he'd liked this post I thought he was a dickhead of the highest order but now I'm not so sure. Instead I'm tending to think he might be mentally ill.
