Well I suppose it was bound to happen in the end. After 2 warnings then a short ban for a third another has me completely banished. My crime? posting a political (but factual) comment on the universal credit thread on living afloat. I'm so banished, I can't even view the forum! my computer says "no permission..."
I wonder if getting a proxy server might solve this, join under another name, have some 'fun'?

The system won't let you get in to log out and become a visitor. I'm the same I got an email warning from LM which has a linky to use to read about my offence and penalty ....... if you tap on it you get to the same "you have no permission to view .... etc" you really could not make it up .......... and speaking as a long term resident of both the UNstable bar and the Thunder bar, that really is a comment about true craziness PS the email just said I was getting a warning ........ nothing about being banned, obviously I was being a thorn in their side and it was an opportunity to go from no warning points ever to in one go

The first paragraph was left intact. I went on to say along the lines of: But if you do go to Eire to take advantage of job seekers that you can survive on don't expect to have a brood of kids and expect a decent lifestyle, whether you work or not. Only Britain offers that.

Just log out, (even though it does not say you have), then go into your server settings and clear cookies. You can then read the forum.

It only knows you are you because of a cookie on your computer. If you clear the cookie, or switch the browser to "private" mode (called various different things depending on which browser) you must surely appear as a guest?

Nick you are suffering from the delusion that the IT challenged (such as myself and other members of the Luddite appreciation society) have the vaguest idea what you are talking about. I will have you know that I spent a day typing in left parenthesis, capital F, numeral 1, right parenthesis. because that is what the book told me ........... So... if I were to delete cookies I could register as a new member, free to cause 'mischief', and nobody would be any the wiser, is that right? not that I would dream of doing such a thing; naturally..

"one" means one pill, not one handful. Try adjusting your dosage accordingly and things might become a little more clear. In the event that you really do want to be able to lurk on CWDF, here's what to do. In the upper right corner of your Chrome browser is a red box with an X in it. DON'T TOUCH THAT BOX! directly below that red box there should be three horizontal lines. click on those lines, a new box will appear. Put your cursor arrow on the line that says "More tools" and yet another box will appear. Slide the cursor arrow over to the new box and down to "Clear browsing data". Click on "Clear browsing data". Check the box next to "Cookies and other site plug in data", uncheck all the other boxes. Go down to the lower right of the box and click the bar that says "Clear browsing data. Viola, your cookies are gone and you can now lurk on CWDF.
