1. I like the colourful boat at the beginning.
2. There were no fight scenes in your video. Why not?

Thanks erivers. 1. I like the colourful boat at the beginning. 2. There were no fight scenes in your video. Why not? Do you mean flight scenes? Didn't have that bit of kit with me on this occasion.

Hey Foxy, are you trying out your mooring pin trick? 😀
Anyone got any advice on the RPM gauge in the last video?
Cheers, Paul.

Hi All, Well the old GRP cruiser sold last summer and now I have decided to go sailing. Any Mirror dinghy owners here? It will be good to be back on the water and no doubt in it. I will be throwing a small outboard on the back.

If you arrrr thinking of having a sail down the widewater to denham pound watch out for the eco worriers I hear they are quite prevalent there on account of the HS2 situation.
Maybe you were thinking of less sheltered waters.

Looks a cracking little boat 👍 I would love to get another sailing dinghy, I'm hankering after an Enterprise or GP 14 - a Mirror would be on the tight side for the three of us. Sadly time currently doesn't allow for another floating diversion!

Do you mean non tidal Thames or the tideway?
For non tidal it's a bit restricted but the reach above Cookham is pretty windy and there is a decent public slipway by the bridge, beside the Ferry pub.
Another I can think of is the one below Whitchurch lock. The reach down from there to Mapledurham lock is a lovely bit of river and again quite open and windy.
The slipway at Cookham has more room.
There are quite a few public slipways on the Thames.
Marlow might be interesting but the reach there is shorter between Marlow and Temple locks and less useful for sailing and it is packed with rowers.

Trout Inn, Lechlade. £5, park in a big field behind the pub; bonus of good food and beer. You can can spend hours pottering about at the head of the navigation - we didn’t bother going through the locks and had plenty of fun bobbing about with the kids.

Nice to see a proper outboard That area is nice but a bit awkward for sailing I would have thought what with the River being so narrow.
