Bikes that have not ended well either mostly me not the bike.
LD 150 had no flywheel cover, clutch cable broke when bump starting it, fell over flywheel ended up in my right leg. Scar still there 52 years later!
CD175 daft biddy pulled out of side road in front of me, tipper truck going the other way, I laid the bike down sideways but didn't get clear before it flipped and hit her car, catching my left ankle between her front wing and my fuel tank.
CX500 coming up A1 through Hendon on my 30th birthday, lights changed to Amber, thought car in front wouldn't stop, He did. I went for the gap and bounced off him onto the car on the inside (who went through Amber and never stopped) bike went down with my right leg underneath it, multiple breaks and fractures, 9 months in plaster all my own fault.
Stopped riding 20 years after that as I felt I was living on borrowed time

What happened to my bikes:
SS50: Bought it under age for 30 quid, used to ride it round the estate without licence, tax or insurance. Had it for 3 weeks, never checked anything, it seized up due to lack of oil. It sat in my parents garage for 2 years gathering dust until my dad got someone to pick it up and take it to the local tip.
RS100: Bought this brand new. Fell off it the first week I had it, riding it in the snow. Owned it for 18 months before it was stolen outside my local pub.
GT250X7 It never did the claimed 100mph but I had a lot of fun trying. Owned it for a year before it was stolen from outside my parents house.
CB250N Stolen from outside my parents house after a month but found the next morning under a railway bridge missing its exhausts, tank, seat, side panels, clocks, headlights and indicators. Owned it for a year. I was doing 55 in a 30 limit when a woman pulled out in front of me from her drive. Tried to get round the back of her but failed. Both the bike and car were written off but fortunately I landed on a wet grass verge and despite making a hell of a mess of it emerged with barely a scratch.
Megapro 160 Rode this in Jakarta for a year without accidents. Single cylinder, pulled quite nicely. Paid 700 quid got 400 back ripped off both times because I'm a bule (derogatory term for white person, it's OK to be racist over there)
RS125 is my daily ride today but because it has crap brakes and crap lights, I try to avoid taking it out at night or in the rain.
A few thefts going on there. There have been 23 crimes against me personally, 18 of them were vehicle related in the SK3, SK4 and SK8 postcode areas.

Ignoring bad driving crimes I have had two crimes against me related to vehicles. Car window smashed to remove radio. Other was my gpz1100 being pushed over in Royal Leamington Spa. That particular criminal didn’t enjoy being brought to justice. You have been unlucky mate.

No,sadly. It was the original type with the 197cc Villiers two stroke engine kickstart only, hung on the front wheel. It only had one door {on the passenger side] so if you stalled it [quite frequent] and if you had your girlfriend aboard it was quite embarrassing having to ask her to get out so that you could get out to lift the bonnet, stick your foot in and kick start the thing, scramble back in before the engine stopped and drive off in a cloud of two stroke smoke [it ran on a 20 to 1 mixture] and made an awful racket. After a while, the con rod punched a hole in the crankcase.I wasn't sorry to see it go. Just remembered,I think it ran on a 16 to 1 fuel/oil mixture.

The youngsters who wouldn't be seen dead in anything other than a brand new car that comes with 3 years of free insurance are really missing out, I feel sorry for them.

it does seem a good list. Any broken bones? My friend smashed his leg up in 1978. A side impact with a motorcar at traffic lights. Reason I mention it is he was on a GT750. the water cooled one. One of the bikes on jimmy list. Being a stubborn bugger he left hospital too early and has been stuck with a gammy leg ever since.. Its something which has always put me off motorbikes. almost everyone I have met who was a keen biker has had bad accidents. One bloke I met once broke his back (a bit extreme) another one was on bike with his woman and had an accident which hospitalised both of them. It didn't put him off to be fair. Another one got a broken leg riding an MZ then there was one who was not wearing a helmet and ended up needing plastic surgery to his face. All rather shocking. I guess for all these people there will be loads and loads who never had any trouble at all.

I’ve been wiped out by a girl doing a u turn in a Fiesta while I was filtering - that hurt; mouse was at least as annoyed as me as it was his bike 🤭 Ambition often outweighs talent for your average motorcyclist - and seeing as its far easier to fall off a bike than a car many end up having an excursion into the undergrowth - me included as a youngster!

Bit of a Casey stoner quote there I believe. Undergrowth is a bikers friend, it’s the trees I avoid 😀. Once upon a time I was following 3 mates on various peds. First bike went into hedge, two more, including me followed. How we laughed.
