Can you just remind me where I take the measurements from - in simple terms please. Positive on the b+ terminal on the back of the alternator and negative on the earth or the body of the alternator. Obviously you need the engine running for this. So be careful you don't get caught up in anything. Just getting the 12.2v
Edited to add 14.5v on starter alternator if that helps.

If you've got 14v at the alternator b+ it's working. I wonder if you have an Albright spilt charge relay that has gone kuput? Dirty way to get some juice into the battery - carefully attach a jump lead from the fat cable out of the alternator and bosh it onto your domestic batteries - you should now have alt output at the batteries, it's then a case of identifying why the juice isn't getting from the alt to the batteries. Can you just remind me where I take the measurements from - in simple terms please. As kris said - B+ is the terminal that will have a big cable disappearing off to a most likely a split charge relay, for now this isn’t important. if you’re not sure take a picture of the back of the alt and bung it up. If I remember you have a travelpower - another option is to run a battery charger off the 240 through the travelpower.

It’s s start - you can get some juice from that - best bet would be a jump lead from start battery + to domestic batteries, much easier to hook onto.

Yes the edit helps. It's not definate but if your only getting 12.2 on the back of the alternator with the engine running and the little lights off, then it's looking like a fault with the alternator. So it's a tmw job.

Yes the edit helps. It's not definate but if your only getting 12.2 on the back of the alternator with the engine running and the little lights off, then it's looking like a fault with the alternator. So it's a tmw job. Yup, sounds like a dead domestic alt.
