Watching Pmq's, and again it becomes evident that Corbyn just talks the talk, but can't walk the walk. Labour are in a stagnant place as long as he is their leader. He's a bit dreary, isn't he? Anyone who has shagged the Flabbapotamus is never going to have any credibility. Diane for Prime Minister! She can count to three!

I was under the impression that when parliament voted to enact article 50, we would be out on 29 March. I now see even the EU leaders are advising a postponement. Referendums we didn't need, results being ignored, exit dates overturned ... and now the threat of yet another general election. Our historic statesmen must be spinning th in their graves. Rog They are very close to the general populace removing their consent to be gverned by such a bunch of self serving twats. You will have to prise their crisps and energy drinks from their cold, dead corpses before you can stir the British Public into action. How's it going with the French, have they strung Macron up yet?

"The poll tax riots were a series of riots in British towns and cities during protests against the Community Charge (colloquially known as the "poll tax"), introduced by the Conservative government of Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. The largest protest occurred in central London on Saturday 31 March 1990, shortly before the tax was due to come into force in England and Wales." Strangely, no. I was working as a postman in Hertford then between Jan 1990 - Aug 1990. I don't remember any riots, but in those days I didn't pay much attention the the News anyway. Part of my job was driving to Liverpool Street station, taking the mail there - didn't see any unrest in North London either.

Yes but foxy did not remember the lift bridges on the section of the oxford canal between central oxford and the dukes cut junction. I remember the poll tax riots. Obviously it was not something that would have concerned me as we did not need to pay for this sort of thing what with the diplomatic immunity.

Since when did any dictatorship cede to a democracy? However, when democracy is overruled by dictatorship, the only option left is violence, and this is what I predict will happen if the will of the majority is ignored. I'm too old to join in myself, but I would have no personal issue with those attempting to overthrow Fascism.

I remain utterly astounded at how far detached from the reality of life in this country our political classes are.

"And they need sorting out." said Anna Soubry to the people she has just called 'Fascists'. Will she be arrested for Hate Speech and slander?
"yet her reaction to been called names is demand the police makes them stop, she is a disgrace"
"I'm not a fascist, and to prove it, I'm going to call the police and have you arrested for using your right to free speech"

With perfect timing, Father Brown (great daytime comfort TV) had a new episode about Anarchists today. Bearing in mind it is set in the 50s. And apparently Paris was the epicentre.
All of which explains the gillet jaunes. And makes me wonder if we arenβt heading for a repeat!
