I subscribe to the bucket philosophy. There are around 15 buckets on this boat. Most of life's problems can be solved by using buckets. You would be surprised how useful a simple bucket can be in unusual circumstances such as having to store large quantities of tinned fish purchased during a pre-armageddon pandemic test. Eta you obviously missed the buckets located under the orange futon sitting plank ! Wickes have recently had in stock some very nice non-ribbed smooth buckets for £1 each of which I have recently purchased 25. I was glad I did as the latest batch they have are the ribbed type and they are aesthetically far less pleasing from a design language point of view. The orange distracted me tbh

The other ones are stainless steel and less easy to dent.
This one is Guinness 1996 I had not noticed before you mentioned it that it was ally but a screw dragged across it did make a good scratch so presumably it is indeed !

Pouring with rain here on the farm today. Tomorrow is November, my least favourite month of the year. Getting ever darker, getting ever colder, boating season still a long way away. Plus the MOT on the car is due and that rarely costs less than £500. The Rover is starting to get very tired now but I really don't want the expense of replacing it so I'll just have to bite the bullet I suppose.
Wanted to do some outside work today but there's no chance of that at the mo.

Well I have this rather long hot air ballooning rope (as you do) it is quite thick (about an inch and a quarter) and light hemp rope. So it is now running around the cabin and it occurred to me to tuck a long thin led lamp into the grooves in the rope (there is a ruder word for this which JohnV knows about). It would take ages and a lot of rice wire LEDs but could be quite a nice effect. Small example here: Also sourced some mahogany boards previously used on an electric gate and they will be for partitioning off the girl's cabin. It will be their fortress Hopefully the slightly random nature of it will appeal to their design language as it does to mine. The boards have remains of varnish but I have found that a stripping disc on the angel grinder slips that off nicely and leaves a good natural finish to the wood. It'll come up lovely without any treatment. Ideal.

Not working until 1pm and the lay-in is almost as good as a day off Grey sky ... rain lashing the windows ... real onset of winter feel to the day. It's been really busy at work ... it appears there's been a bit of a break through on the logjam of deliveries. Rog

Not happy , maccie d’s are not taking orders for delivery, I want my breakfast in bed but guess I’ll have to get up and make some bacon.
Busy day today, someone coming to buy my fish tank, fish all died off now and decided not to replace, then off for the boat to show poeple round, have found an Xbox original on Facebook for £20 which is a bargain, might go and pick it up from Rugby for a play.

Well this numpty didn't realise the clocks went back so was up and about at 4.30 this morning - now I've got neighbors either side in he marina, I feel a bit like a battery chicken ... still, it's someone to talk to when I go to an from the gym etc. Speaking of the gym, the healthy eating, drinking less and exercise are coming along nicely .... relatively speaking. I'd like faster progress but I'm down to 13 stone 2 this morning so by this time next week, I should be 12 something again...I do hope my stretched flabby white gingery freckly skin has enough elasticity to firm up before I manage to 'pull'... the way things look out there on gay dating apps, my next lay could well be a chap with a long black limousine. Anyway I've done a bit of online work this morning and raised a few more $ - which will mitigate some of the cost of the new macerator HOW they can justify the extortionate price is beyond my comprehension.

How's the gym ... nice place ... good facilities ?
I keep doing my exercises but I do miss simply going out for a run.

It's the council one - Freedom leisure.... it's fine and not full of muscle marys... just (mostly) oldies and the occasional twink... not intimidating at all thank goodness - they have made swimming difficult cause you have to book a session (limited numbers due to covid??? - CHOLRINE???) so Im only really managing the gym atm... I'll make more of an effort to get back into swimming when I've shifted some more blubber and look half acceptable in trunks...well shorts. NOT gonna disappoint everyone in a pair of budgie smugglers.
